How to Prepare Your Skin for the Dry Seasons
Posted by beautyviewpoints | Under Beauty NewsWhen the humid days of summer start to turn to fall and winter, our skin can change right along with the seasons. Unfortunately for many, these changes are not good ones, because our skin gets dryer and more uncomfortable to live in when fall and winter come along. Personally, I know this feeling first hand. My skin has always been very dry, even in the summer months, and in the winter it can actually be painful. There are ways to take better care of your skin though, before the dryer seasons hit.
There are many different products out there that are advertised as “moisturizers.” However, not many of them are actually able to work through the layers of the skin and moisturize deep down. For those of us who suffer from very dry skin, these types of creams and lotions are a huge waste of money. I don’t know how many different kinds of creams I have tried over the last few years, but I’m sure that the money I spent on all of those bottles could have fed a small village for a year or two! Unfortunately, we can’t take the products home a test them for a couple of days, so we are often stuck with a lotion that doesn’t work the way we thought it would.
There are some great products out there though, and the good news is that other people have already spent the money and done the research for you! There are a handful of moisturizers out there that work exactly as advertised, and you can go out and buy them with confidence, knowing that they will soothe and hydrate your dry skin. The rest of the products may not be as worth spending your money on.
You can start by hydrating your hands with Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream. This cream is not greasy, and it should take care of your dry hands in any type of weather. As its name says, it is intense relief to your dry hands; it doesn’t just smooth over the problem, it fixes the problem!
Another great product is Dove Body Wash with Nutrium. Before you even put a moisturizer on your body, start with the right moisturizing body wash in the shower. This one is the only one that will truly help your skin, and it does the job while washing your body as well.
Exfoliating becomes more important when the weather gets colder and dryer, and using a body scrub is a great way to do it. Body scrubs come in some tempting scents, and Fresh Brown Sugar Body Polish is one of the best for sure.
You can’t forget your face when it comes to products for dry skin, and your best bet is to find a product that you can put on right after you wash your face at night, so it can moisturize your facial skin all night long while you sleep. Cellcosmet Concentrated Night Cream Treatment is a great choice for a night cream.
